After examination is cleared, the journal publication takes 3-4 months. Then there is a 4-month opposition window. After that, the certificate is issued in 1-2 months. Total processing time is approximately 8-12 months.

Journal Publication is the stage where your trademark is published in the Trademark Journal to invite any oppositions from the public. If no one opposes within 4 months, the trademark proceeds to registration. We monitor this entire period.

If a third party files an opposition, you need to file a Counter-Statement (TM-O) within 2 months. Our team handles the entire opposition response process including legal arguments and evidence submission.

Yes, once all stages are cleared, the Trademark Registry issues a Certificate of Registration with the ® symbol. This certificate is valid for 10 years and can be renewed thereafter. We ensure you receive the original certificate.

Yes, once the Certificate of Registration is issued, you can use the ® (Registered) symbol with your trademark. Before registration, you can only use ™ (Unregistered Trademark symbol).

If no opposition is filed within the 4-month opposition period after journal publication, the trademark proceeds to registration. The Registrar then issues the Certificate of Registration within 1-2 months. This is the smoothest path to obtaining your registered trademark with the ® symbol.

Yes, you can withdraw your trademark application at any stage before registration by filing a formal request with the Trademark Registry. Common reasons for withdrawal include discovering a conflicting mark, changing business strategy, or deciding to rebrand. Withdrawal does not entitle you to a refund of the government fee already paid.
